Coffee

Coffee

Guess where I am now.
Waiting alone
Choosing coffee in a shop
Proving life's not fun when you're gone
So this is my first time
It has not been long
But I'm ready to move on.

Guess what I chose?
It's not what you thought.
It's black coffee brewed with
No sugar on top
Not even with creamer
It tastes too bitter
Without you by the side.

This coffee's not good.
(La la la la)
It tastes too bitter.
(La la la lala...)
This young man feels so old.
It doesn't feel right
Without you by the side.
(Ha ha ha)

That's life.

Guess what I did?
I'm reading the news.
I'm sipping this drink
With no care for the world.
I remember your favorite.
It's Frappucino with milk
With icing on top.

This coffee's not good.
(La la la la)
It tastes too bitter.
(La la la lala...)
This young man feels so old.
It doesn't feel right
Without you by the side.
(Ha ha ha)

Guess what I've done?
I've finished my cup.
I have paid my bill
Now I'm walking to the door
To go out.
But then I saw you.
We meet at the door.
As we go speak we faltered
(We faltered.) (2x)

This coffee's not good.
(La la la la)
It tastes too bitter.
(La la la la...)
This young man feels so old
Without you by the side.
(Ha ha ha)

This coffee's not good.
(La la la la)
It tastes too bitter.
(La la la la...)
This young man feels so old
It doesn't feel right. (2x)
Without you by the side.
(Ha ha ha)

It doesn't feel right
Without you by the side.

so what are you exactly trying to say? Coffee is good for the soul and yet bad for the body? Coffee is bitter? What exactly the point of this piece? Or was there even a point? I don't know you tell me.

I can say...well, I don't know what to say.
You wrote a song that I can't tell wether or not your writing about showing pity to the young man, Showing Irony, or trying to be funny.
Well...I have to say that it's diffrent from the rest of the songs.
It did show a diffrent scene, a coffe shop, And I have to say that is pretty funny that you used a hard to prounounce word for the girls favorite coffe.
I give this song a 3 out of 5.

Not the most unique or complex of songs, and the word choice could be stronger, but, holistically, I really enjoyed this. =)

Ha, this was marvelous! I have such a great mental picture of your narrator (singer?), like he's going completely insane. That's what crazy people do--they focus on something unimportant, but it seems like all that matters. Like the coffee. Obsessing about coffee. Anything to take your mind off your long-lost love. But, wow...no complains. This was just so great. Especially the "la la la" bit in the chorus. I think I'll be checking out your portfolio now.

Oh, gosh I love this song. I mean, it looks really fun to sing. (despite the fact of what its about- like iquippie said). It's amazing. I can't write lyrics at all, but its still a compliment. I want to scream at the computer (I'm odd that way), saying how good you are. I practically can feel some people's jaws drop when they read this.
keep writing.

Great stuff here, your use of coffee as descriptions of you and your ex lover was just amazing and very original

This is your best work I'd say

One small issue:

Guess where I'm now.

It would be better to put

Guess where I am now.

This isn't a criticism but...
It's Frappucino with milk
With icing on top.

tell me where you can get icing in a frappucino because I want some!!

On a particularly sweet ending note (See what I did there)

Guess what I chose?
It's not what you thought.
It's black coffee brewed with
No sugar on top
Not even with creamer
It tastes too bitter
Without you by the side.

this was amazing...Just amazing, the great thing about this is that it's a song about losing a girl...But it's not a cliche!

Congratulations! Keep writing stuff like this

Aha! Yes! This is, by far, my favorite of your songs.
It seems like it would be a fun song to sing, despite the fact that it's about how life isn't fun anymore.

There's just one thing:
"It taste too bitter." should read "It tastes too bitter."

Anywho, I loved it ^_^
